Courtney Ann Lord, born January 17th, 1990; a future fashion model was born. She was always creative since she was a child. Courtney is a strong, independent and ambitious woman with dreams. This young woman is all about fashion, modeling, fashion design, photo shoot directing and stylist.

Courtney was born and raised in St-Andrews. After her graduation in 2008, she went to Mount Allison, studying photography and wanted to become a fashion photographer. Later on, she was encouraged by friends to take fashion design so she applied at the New-Brunswick College of Craft and Design to see if it would be her true calling. Now that she is taking the course, she knows that she’s in her element.

The way she process her work is by ideas that comes to her by using the human figure and then she imagine them wearing the clothing of her design. She also sometimes imagines models walking down the runaway wearing her clothing designs. What she wants her clients to see in her work is elegance in a feminine form, infused with wear ability. She is not sure what kind of fabric and color she would use to emphasize her work but will later on know what process will work best.

Besides her fashion image, she loves to write stories, hiking and getting lost in the beauty of the ocean. She is also athletic. She used to be in tennis, soccer, figure skating, cross-country, mountain biking and mostly hockey.

Her dog is her inspiration; she is one of her best friends. Her other inspirations are Coco Chanel; Audrey Hepburn with her unique elegance, Christian Dior that brought femininity into fashion, friends, family and artists from St-Andrews that supported her.

No matter what life holds for her, Courtney’s goal is to be happy. As she quoted; “without happiness, there is no point to great achievements”. She is a woman full of potential that can achieve anything. With the bright future waiting for her, she will be able to reach her goals with great success.
